- Cinnamon stick: 1 inch
- Black cardamom: 1
- Green cardamom: 5
- Star anise: 2
- Black peppercorns: 10
- Shah Jeera: 1/2 tsp
- Oil: 20ml
For the grave:
- Ginger-garlic chili paste: 1tbsp
- Boiled Masoor Dal
- Cashew paste
- Water: 400ml
- Coconut milk: 400 ml
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper: 1tsp
- Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
Preparation Steps:
- Boiling Masoor Dal:
- Rinse the masoor dal thoroughly and boil it in 500 ml of water with a pinch of salt until soft and cooked.
- Preparing Cashew and Poppy Seed Paste:
- Soak cashews and poppy seeds in 100 ml of water for 30 minutes. Then, grind them into a smooth paste.
- Tempering with Khada Masala:
- Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, green cardamom, star anise, black peppercorns, and shah jeera. Let them splutter and release their aroma.
